Life is a continuous journey, often marked by seasons of change—some subtle, others striking. These changes can shape our experiences and drive us to adapt. Reflecting on my own transitions, it's clear that the shifts I've faced have often been pronounced, pushing me to rethink how I embrace these seasons. In these profound moments, we discover opportunities for growth, clarity, and renewal.

The reality of drastic changes is eye-opening. They demand our attention and prompt us to adjust quickly while seeking support. For instance, in 2009, I made a significant decision to enroll in a Life Coaching certification program. This choice was a turning point in my life, setting into motion a transformative journey.

In 2010, I officially launched my coaching business on July 4th—a date that symbolized both independence and a fresh beginning as I relocated to Austin, Texas. This new chapter emerged from the aftermath of my divorce and the necessity of starting anew after leaving our family home in New Mexico. The changes were not just mine to bear; my family, too, had to navigate our new life in a different city, filled with challenges and uncertainties.

The process of naming my business was a reflective experience. After careful prayer and meditation, it became clear we were entering a transitional phase filled with hope for new opportunities. The name New Season New Vision Life Coaching emerged organically. Our logo, a flourishing tree, symbolizes growth and renewal—perfectly reflecting our journey.

As I look back over the last decade and a half, I am keenly aware of the numerous life changes I have navigated and see they are linked to dreams that were in my heart. I built a new home, got remarried and moved to Marble Falls.  All, with their own set of exciting challenges. Compounding these life changes is a shift in my work community, marked by a new leadership role as Executive Director of CC4C. All these shifts happening have stirred various emotions as I chart this unfamiliar landscape.

Amidst the whirlwind of change I have learned to find time to spend alone and allow myself to reflect and dream, and in those quiet moments, a realization takes root: new seasons also offer a chance for new vision. Change may feel unsettling, but often, it encourages us to turn inward and reflect.

I recognized the importance of listening to my inner self, allowing for stillness, letting go of past burdens, and welcoming new possibilities. In doing this, fresh vision begins to unfold.

As I embrace new chapters, I realize it is vital to focus on well-being for both myself and my family. It’s a conscious choice to foster hope as we navigate this process of reinvention. The takeaway is clear: we must remain open to growth, even when faced with daunting transitions. Just as the new year symbolizes a fresh slate, my current experiences reflect this spirit of renewal.

This spirit is especially crucial for families facing challenges, particularly those caring for children with rare conditions. The urgency of daily life can often overshadow the need to recover from tough times. However, there is tremendous strength in nurturing hope and building community as we navigate these transitions together.

Many people find solace and resilience through connections with others who share similar journeys. As a non-profit, the support of families facing these challenges can be invaluable, offering resources and a sense of understanding. By engaging with supportive communities, individuals can alleviate feelings of isolation and recognize that nobody is truly alone in facing life's changes.

Moreover, we can choose to adopt a mindset focused on renewal and growth by actively dreaming and mapping out plans for the future. When confronting significant changes, reflect on what possibilities lie ahead. What new opportunities might emerge from these experiences?

The idea of “new vision” extends beyond professional aspirations. It invites us to reassess personal goals, strengthen connections with loved ones, and explore new hobbies. The start of a fresh season can be an ideal time to investigate paths we’ve overlooked.

As I look back on my journey, I am reminded of the importance of accepting change and finding clarity within it. Whether your challenges stem from personal upheavals like mine or the unique trials faced by families of children with rare conditions, each season brings a chance for renewal and growth.

As this new season begins, let us move forward with hope and visualize the futures we wish to create. Whether embarking on our individual journeys or supporting loved ones, staying connected to our inner selves can guide us toward a purposeful and joyful life.

Transition should not instill fear; it can ignite resilience and well-being in our lives. Every new direction brings not only challenges but also opportunities to shape a life that aligns with our highest values and dreams. Embrace this season—you may discover the vision you’ve been seeking. And the new vision will anchor your soul in hope.

This vision is for an appointed time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:3 NLT
