Find your TRIBE
We cannot FLOURISH alone.
It is time to embrace the Fall season and I feel compelled to evaluate opportunities to connect with others.
Am I in a group of authentic women who can be open, honest and support one another?
What is lacking in my connection groups?
What do I really need and want in this season of my life?
The Fall season feels like a new year to me and I feel energized to go deeper in my faith and relationships during the transition out of summer into Fall.
I am intrigued by the increasing statistics of loneliness in our society even though technology provides a multitude of ways to connect.
This leads me to my next question:
Is there depth and quality to my relationships or am I trying to portray an image dictated by our culture, comparing myself to others?
When I joined the CC4C staff in 2015, I began working in family services. I created the Well-Being program for our families. As we met with each family, listened to the mom’s and dad’s from past years, one thing was clearly evident.
They are a TRIBE.
They want a TRIBE.
They find support, strength, refreshment, ideas and renewed faith through meeting together. Every minute I spent with our TRIBE 4 Mom’s was energizing and inspiring.
The truth is:
Community nourishes us.
Community sustains us.
Community heals us.
Community provides fun, joy and laughter.
Community makes us feel more confident.
Community gives purpose.
This lesson has stayed with me through the many seasons of my personal and professional life. The Fall season reminds me to do a review of my “TRIBE’s” and remain authentic and connected. It not only increases well-being.
It brings LIFE.
As we enter this new season, let's prioritize finding or strengthening our tribes. By cultivating authentic relationships, we can experience greater well-being, fulfillment, and a richer, more meaningful life.
Take a moment to reflect on your current connections. Are they providing the support, inspiration, and joy you need? If not, consider reaching out to others who share your interests or values. Remember, finding your tribe is a journey, and the rewards are immeasurable.
Find your TRIBE.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
