Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator is a dynamic role, requiring a blend of administrative skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for CC4C’s mission. This Part-time position is essential for ensuring the successful execution of fundraising initiatives and building and maintaining strong connections with CC4C supporters. The Development Coordinator provides essential support to the Development Director, playing a critical role in the operations of the development team. This role is based remotely with an expectation to attend weekly leadership meetings and donor/volunteer meetings in person regularly. The position requires a committment of at least 20 hours per week.

Fundraising and Development Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of the annual development plan.

Assist in the planning and execution of all fundraising activities and campaigns.

Collaborate with the Executive Director (ED), Development Director (DD), and Board of Directors to build and maintain relationships with donors and prospective donors.

Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring accurate records of donor information, giving history, and interactions.

Generate and send thank-you letters and receipts to donors, ensuring prompt and personalized acknowledgements.

Generate and execute exports of donor lists for stewardship and solicitation purposes.

Assist the ED and DD in corporate relationship development.

Assist in researching potential grant opportunities, collecting necessary data, and supporting the grant writing and reporting process.

Perform additional duties as needed or requested.
Event Coordination Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and execution of all fundraising and donor appreciation events, including the Teen Advocates 4 Children program, Night 2 Uplift Gala, Baker Triangle Golf Tournament, Champion Circle Event, and Inspirational Dinner. Responsibilities encompass event communications, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site event management.

Serve as the primary liaison for participants engaged in peer-to-peer fundraising for the Teen Advocates 4 Children Program.

Assist DD with event timelines, data tracking, deadlines, and production schedules to ensure all aspects of the event are on track.

Attend and assist in program events including Team Up and Family Fun Day

Marketing and Communications Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of the communications calendar.

Assisting with social media content creation, coordinating donor communications, and supporting ongoing fundraising campaigns.

Help manage social media accounts to engage with supporters and promote fundraising initiatives.

Develop marketing and fundraising materials such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, invitations, social media content and email campaigns.

Participate in outreach activities, including representing the organization at community events and networking opportunities.

A bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Knowledge of nonprofit agencies and development department functions.

Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.

Strong time management skills, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors, volunteers, and colleagues.

High level of accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and donor communications.

Comfort with various software platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, social media platforms, event management, donor database, and email marketing tools.

The ability to remain solution-focused and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Working Conditions:
-
This role is hybrid, requiring weekly travel to the CC4C office in Austin (78738) for leadership team meetings, as well as travel to local venues and meeting sites.

Flexibility to attend CC4C events, including evenings and weekends, with weekday hours adjusted accordingly.

Must have personal transportation and the ability to lift event-related supplies and equipment.
